The Chanel Resort 2011 show took place in Saint-Tropez this week and featured Ford Models’ Brad Kroenig, Crystal Renn, and Hanne Gaby. With Karl Lagerfeld casting the show there was little surprise at the inclusion of his friend and male icon Brad Kroenig. It was the casting of Crystral Renn that caught the attention of many including André Leon Talley, who wrote in his column for Vogue.com, “Lagerfeld had cast the show with a slightly more curvaceous model named Crystal Renn, not seen on any Chanel catwalk before. This in itself was groundbreaking for the house, but there was also the return of personality models encouraged to be themselves instead of robotic look-alikes.” True to Talley’s description many on the runway could actually be seen, whisper it, smiling. This is after all a Chanel resort collection shown on an outdoor runway in Saint-Tropez…who wouldn’t bloody smile?

  1. Where I can send my pic and info for me if I want to be model plus size like Crystal for Ford models or some agency for models :)

  2. I think it’s great the Crystal walked Chanel!! Good for her considering that I read that Lagerfeld said he would “never use a plus size model” (Although, I wasn’t entirely convinced because the source was in a tabloid). I think she’s absolutely stunning!
