Sara Marchiori (Ford+) attended the Ford+ Open Call Spring 2012 on May 5 and was signed the very same day. The native of Venice, Italy moved to New York two years ago to attend college. Inga Eiriksdottir (Ford+) is co-chairing the photography exhibition The Wakhan Journey, which opens this Friday, May 18 at Milk at 450 West 15 Street in Chelsea. The exhibition includes photography, video art, an installation, as well as a mixed media documentary shot and produced by photographers Fabrice Nadjari and Cedric Houin (artistically known as Varial) during the pair’s 24-day walking journey through the Wakhan Valley, a narrow 140-mile long strip of land in northeastern Afghanistan bordering China, Tajikistan, and Pakistan.
