This blog entry is almost certainly heresy, but the chance to talk about Francis Bacon is just too irresistible. We’re talking about Bacon’s Female Nude Standing in Doorway (1972) currently hanging in Beaubourg (that’s Pompidou to you out-of-towners) as below pictured by Ford’s Hannelore Knuts. The image is taken from the 5’10″ (178 cm) Belgian model’s blog and features her image reflected in the glass wearing a Topshop dress with skeletal print, Burberry scarf, Tom Ford eyeglasses, and holding a Delvaux handbag. This will no doubt have art purists bristling, but for the sake of the Ford Models Blog its irreverence is positively charming. No stranger to galleries, Hannelore herself is a work art who can only be bettered by adding Bacon.
